What's New ?

Changes to importing vehicles

Recently importing a classic commercial vehicle has become more difficult, any goods vehicle entering or leaving the UK  must now have a GMR number (Goods Movement Reference).

If you drive a vehicle into the UK or it is transported on a low loader ( as a load ), you must provide a GMR number at the port of entry.

The GMR number is obtained from your Government Gateway  Portal. This number will link to your NOVA registration.

Your vehicle must be NOVA registered within 14 days of entry to the UK.

As usual the tightening of the rules is the governments way of making sure that you pay VAT on any imports.

If you have any questions please use the contact button and we will try to answer as soon as possible.
